1) learn to accept the irish goodbye


2)  Don’t fight with the world.

3) Don’t do the thing where you say “you always do this.”

4) Forgetting can be learned.

5) When you cry, cry three times.

  3. You left out the beer. Otherwise, my Scots-Irish side is good with this. My German side thinks there should also be something very cholesterol-laden to go with it.

    I always think of that Peanuts comic strip, Sherry, the one where Linus is telling Charlie Brown that Carl Sagan says there are ten billion stars in the galaxy, etcetera, etcetera …

    and Charlie answers: I miss my dog.
