>seeds over water

First we start with this: Olive seeds over water.

It was my job to keep the pups out of water.

Sometimes it isn’t a photo opportunity that takes me out of the walk along the water, sometimes it is a poetry opportunity. Seeds over water, water under sky.

Focus tightens. Sound and distance fade.

  1. >I want to feel those olives on my face. Are they felted? Grindy? The photo is silent.

  2. >In quiet moments, it seems clear that everything around us is a teacher. It takes more than a moment, however, to know the lesson. The olives, I sense, are bursting with portent.
